Deftly written and well-built, I enjoyed my time with this game. It felt like living in the perspective of the Daughter-Saint helped the world come to life. It was especially interesting for me to watch how the religion was explored, and how deeply politics influenced it and its doctrines. The two main characters feel nuanced, both desperate for freedom but approaching that desperation in entirely different ways. I liked the deep denial that the main character feels about her own feelings and wants, and the way that she takes it out on the only person within her control, it added to the heavy atmosphere of oppression throughout the game.
Really a compelling read and a bittersweet ending, well done!
